Reverend Lyle and Pat Breeding
Senior Pastor and Church Secretary
Reverend Lyle Breeding was born and raised in Plymouth, IN. While initially pursuing a career in music education, he returned home to help with the family’s farm implement business. During this time, he met his wife, Pat, and they married on May 30, 1980. While raising two young daughters, Jennifer and Elyse, Lyle found himself commuting between Plymouth and Indianapolis to work in the printing and design business. One day on this long drive, Lyle felt God call him into full-time ministry.
Stepping out in faith and answering God’s calling led Lyle to enter the ministry in 1992, when he became Children’s Pastor at Plymouth Wesleyan Church. He served in various capacities for 12 years, until he felt God calling him to Bluffton.
Lyle accepted the Senior Pastor position at Sonlight in 2004, and together he and Pat began a new journey of ministry. Pat serves as the Church Office Manager, among various other ministries where she leads or participates.
Lyle’s prayer and mission statement for Sonlight proudly boasts to be a church that ‘Loves People To Jesus’. All are welcome!

Reverend Lane Sander
Assistant Pastor
Lane Sander has served on staff at Sonlight Wesleyan since June 2013. He currently oversees ministries of Missions and Discipleship, as well as the local chapter of A Better Life Brianna’s Hope. Lane’s passion is people, and seeing them encounter Jesus; whether they are down the street, on the other side of town, or on the other side of the world.
In his spare time, Lane is also the Director of Renovate Counseling Services, a private practice mental health counseling center with offices in Bluffton, IN and Huntington, IN. Lane and his wife Jennifer have four children: Auden, Winston, Maverick, and Valor. Lane enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, running, reading, and drinking coffee.

Reverend John Moyer
Assistant to the Pastor
Born into a family of a pastor and evangelist, John’s life’s mission seemed pre-destined. As he grew up on the West Coast, he credits camp meetings in Oregon and Washington for having a significant impact upon his ministerial calling.
John graduated from High School in 1972, and married his lovely wife Bev in 1977. He studied Pastoral Ministries and Bible at Vennard College, and then Wesley Biblical Seminary. John was ordained into ministry in 1983, and he and Bev began a ministry journey that has taken them all over the United States.
John pastored Evangelical churches in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, and New Mexico. After 38 years of full-time ministry, John and Bev moved to Bluffton, IN, to be close to their son, Nathaneal, daughter-in-law, Stacie, and grandson, Jedidiah.
After spending months seeking a new church, John and Bev chose Sonlight. In 2021, John accepted a part-time position of Assistant to the Pastor. He currently leads Wednesday night Bible Study, and Bev assists with the Children’s Ministry.

Kristi Mounsey
Children's Ministry Director
Kristi proudly proclaims that she was born and raised here in the Midwest. She graduated from Bluffton High School in 1995, and married her husband, Jody, in 1998. Together they have 5 children, and several bonus children through the joy of fostering. She and Jody enjoy spending time with their entire family.
Kristi was saved when she was 21 years old, and immediately began loving Jesus by serving others. Starting with folding bulletins and volunteering at funeral dinners, her desire to serve led her to focus on ministering to children. Kristi and Jody were called into full-time ministry, which allowed her to participate as a Children’s Director. Through all of the facets of this position, Kristi felt like God was reigniting her fire and love for lost souls in the community.
In 2022, God called Kristi to accept her current position as Children’s Director at Sonlight. She leads children in events such as AWANA, VBS, Cabin Fever nights, and Sunday School Children’s Church. Kristi’s love and excitement for children has recently led her to begin writing curriculum and games to share with others. Kristi states, “God has given me a love and excitement for kids and families. What better way to love them than to tell them about Jesus?”

Rik Tudor
Youth Ministry Director
Rik was born and raised in Bluffton, and graduated from Bluffton High School in 2000. He has 3 children; Cain, Willow, and Magnolia, and married Jenny (Lambert) Tudor in 2022. Rik was saved in 2004, during what he describes as one of the darkest moments of his life. Since that date, Rik has experienced a calling to preach the gospel and show the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ.
Rik has volunteered in the Youth Prison Ministries, 'Come See Ministries', as well as assisting the Youth Programs at Fellowship Missionary Church. Rik and Jenny are currently serving as Youth Directors at Sonlight, and desire to guide that community of young people to desire to reach others for the Glory of God.
